Grandfather Homes was built in honor of my grandfather, John D. Schmidt. The business model was designed to operate with the same values present throughout his life: leading by example, simply doing the right thing, and most importantly, enthusiasm. My grandfather, aka Pop Pop, actually enjoyed hard work, and he took pride in the lasting quality that it produced. He realized it was a necessity regardless of situation or tolerance. Grandfather Homes has inherited that same passion for home building. We recognize the importance of setting realistic expectations and managing the homebuilding process to those commitments. We enjoy rolling up our sleeves to actively shoulder and support the burdens of construction from homebuyers and trade contractors. We take pleasure in our profession and the fulfillment it brings to us- we want you to feel that sense of pride, accomplishment, and ownership of a Grandfather Homes built home.  Every house we build, we strive to complete it with the same authenticity that my grandfather led his life.
